Bastela or Pastilla...My favorite!




This is a starter dish made by layering a special dough called ouarka which is very paper thin like filo dough. It has a chicken mixture withy parsely, onions, eggs, cinnamon, saffron, and then a layer of roasted ground almonds. It is then topped with honey and a little more almonds. So good!
